International ADR

Every year a great number of business transactions take place both domestically and across borders. If a dispute arises, especially if it results in litigation, the value of the transaction is reduced or lost; and the business relationship is usually destroyed. The consequences of an injury to the business relationship may be more damaging to the parties than the original conflict, and can include an inability of parties to do business together in the future, and collateral damage to reputation and corollary relationships. When appropriate dispute resolution (previously referred to as alternative dispute resolution) (ADR) methods are applied to conflict, particularly commercial or other business disputes; the risk of unnecessary financial loss and destruction of relationships is often significantly reduced, if not eliminated.

ADR methods such as settlement conferences, early neutral evaluation, fact finding, conciliation, and mediation, can often procure settlement between the parties; and arbitration and discovery referee adjudications, can result in fair and efficient resolutions to disputed transactions. Domestically and internationally costs, fees, and delays associated with litigation are reduced.
